Edgbaston in Birmingham, home to the Warwickshire County Cricket Club, will host the second semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2019 between Australia and England. Like Manchester, Edgbaston hosted its first ODI in 1972 - the 4th match in ODI history.After winning two consecutive games to qualify for the semis, England will be playing against arch-rivals Australia at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Thursday (July 11) with a place in the 2019 World Cup final at stake.
It seems at rain is set to follow the teams around in the ICC World Cup semifinals. After the first semifinal between India and New Zealand went into a reserve day on Wednesday (July 10), rain is expected to play a role in the second semifinal between Australia and England at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Thursday (July 11).
